The Alpina Tundra boot is a versatile, mid-length shoe that is well suited for hiking and outdoors activities. The inner surface has a nice, pleated textile lining. The tongue of the shoe and the opening are coated with a soft mesh material of about 3.5 cm in length, making the shoe feel always dry and comfortable against the leg even when the going gets rough.

The outer surface of the shoe is 2mm thick nubuck leather, which is durable and long-lasting. At the top of the shoe there is a soft polished leather upper part which increases the flexibility of the shoe while walking. The sole of the boot is made the same way as the Alpina Trapper, upper and lower parts of the boot have been cast together instead of traditional gluing. This method increases the life of the rubber sole compared to the adhesive based attachment between sole and lower boot.

Tundra is really flexible in the longitudinal direction, while still having the necessary rotational stiffness. Alpina uses their own Alpitex -membrane with these boots, which means they are waterproof and highly breathable. Also the rubber sole has been made from Alpina's own rubber combound meaning it wont slip and or harden in sub zero temperatures.
