Garmin inReach Mini 2 Satellite Communicator | Two-Way SOS
Garmin inReach Mini 2 Satellite Communicator | Two-Way SOS
Description
Garmin inReach Mini 2 is made for trips where your phone signal cannot be trusted. It gives you two-way satellite messaging, location sharing, and interactive SOS support in a pack-ready unit.
The biggest reason to carry it is communication. You can message home, share your location through MapShare, or send coordinates in a message. If something goes wrong, the SOS function connects with the Garmin IERCC, a 24/7 staffed emergency response coordination center.
It is also useful before the trip turns serious. TracBack routing can guide you back along the same path you came in on. The digital compass gives heading information while you are still. The weather service can provide forecasts for your location or planned waypoints.
The Garmin Explore app and website add more trip planning and device management control. You can create preset messages, set up quick texts, sync settings, and manage trip details before you head out.
You need an active satellite subscription to use the Iridium network. For remote trips, long days outside, and travel beyond coverage, it keeps communication in your kit.
